## ChatGPT web

Normal setup requires a Context4 plugin with MCP and baseline skills. The [plugin source package](https://ctx4.me/skills/plugin.zip) contains plugin.json, mcp.json, and three skill folders with deployment addresses. This is a package for preparation and testing, not a published installation link. Downloading a ZIP does not install a plugin in ChatGPT.

After publication, install the actual plugin from an available catalog and confirm OAuth. Do not invent a catalog URL or attempt to install a web plugin by writing to `.agents/skills` on a computer.

[Manual MCP plugin configuration](https://ctx4.me/docs/connect-chatgpt.md) adds MCP but does not prove skill installation. Until supported package installation is available, use the [universal instructions](https://ctx4.me/docs/agent-setup.md) as guidance for the current chat.

## ChatGPT desktop

The official format supports standalone skills on desktop. If the environment can create skills, give the agent the [file index](https://ctx4.me/docs/skills-index.json) and ask it to save `context4` and `context4-setup` through a supported skill creator/installer. Check that they appear in Skills. Do not automatically assume this capability also exists on web.
