Skills for ChatGPT.
Plugins and standalone skills in supported environments.
ChatGPT web
Normal setup requires a Context4 plugin with MCP and baseline skills. The plugin source package contains plugin.json, mcp.json, and three skill folders with deployment addresses. This is a package for preparation and testing, not a published installation link. Downloading a ZIP does not install a plugin in ChatGPT.
After publication, install the actual plugin from an available catalog and confirm OAuth. Do not invent a catalog URL or attempt to install a web plugin by writing to .agents/skills on a computer.
Manual MCP plugin configuration adds MCP but does not prove skill installation. Until supported package installation is available, use the universal instructions as guidance for the current chat.
ChatGPT desktop
The official format supports standalone skills on desktop. If the environment can create skills, give the agent the file index and ask it to save context4 and context4-setup through a supported skill creator/installer. Check that they appear in Skills. Do not automatically assume this capability also exists on web.
Official OpenAI format. Cloud ChatGPT requires public HTTPS addresses for MCP and documentation; localhost is unreachable.
